The Adelaide Fringe
The Adelaide Fringe Festival is the largest arts festival in Australia and the 2nd largest open-access arts festival in the world, hosting thousands of acts and drawing millions of viewers every year.
I was hired to work with the Adelaide Fringe in their graphics department for the 2020 festival, which luckily took place before COVID became widespread in Australia and sold over 850,000 tickets. During my time there, my tasks were divided across print and digital and included designing the cover, front and back pages of the main program guide, updating the design of the tickets and creating multiple advertisements for print, web and TV. |
My tasks:
– Branding – Print Layout for Guides & Booklets – Iconography – Social Media Ad Design – Email / EDM Design – 2D Animation – Motion Graphics for TV Advertising – Wayfinding Signage – Large-scale Outdoor Ad Design – Merchandise / Apparel Design |
My time at the Fringe set me up with strong foundational skills across a wide variety of media. This was an incredible place to work early in my career and I learned so much from the senior designers there.
